Azulejos. Performed by Jansenson.

I made this video for the sole purpose of sending it to my music composer, so he could make the music for this piece for my show. I don't know how (or why) suddenly one day I started receiving messages on twitter and everywhere, saying things about this performance.

Most of the comments criticize the fact that there are two camera cuts, so they believe that there is where the trick happens. Others say that I change the tray off camera, and so on.

I really believe that they are very confused. Not because of their explanations about the method for this illusion, but for the time they decide to spend searching for an explanation that won't make their world better in any way. It would be quite the opposite.

Of course I could have performed the illusion without the camera cuts, as I do in my live shows, but then, for the sake of justice, you would have to see it only once and not one hundred times, restraining yourself from pausing it, moving backwards until you find out the explanation, which, judging for the many comments I received, is never complete nor clear.

I do not claim to have any kind of powers, nor I pretend to confuse you or annoy anyone. I'm an artist of illusion, so my work only focuses on triggering your imagination, your sense of wonder, your capacity of being a kid again, and believing in the impossible.

I was temped to take the video out from the web, but there's a lot of people who enjoyed it as it is: a nice moment for smiling, scratching one's head, sharing it with others, questioning very stiff beliefs. That's pretty much it.
